best bike for drag racing

like the title says. i had plans on building a car and what not. but its not going to happen. i miss having a bike and it will be easier to store since i dont have a garage. but when it comes to racing bikes i dont know much.

i know i want a liter bike but dont know which would be best for drag racing, which has the best aftermarket, and which is cheaper. i dont want something new but nothing extremely old because i only want to spend around 4,500. basicly i would do an arm, lower, gear, and other little things. so. what do you recommend? what years to look for and watch out for and types on what aftermarket companys to use would help to. thanks

eghh. i really rather stick with a 1k... im small as hell only 5'6 and only have one season of riding experience. mainly on a cruiser to.

A gsxr 1k or zx10 would be the best bang for the buck. Look around good enough you can find a decent cheap one.

the new ones are but they cant be had for 4500 bucks, if he were looking to spend 8k I would recomend the zx10 for a couple years now they have been right around 200 horse stock

thats kinda what i was thinking. ive found some nice 02s in my price range.

im talking about a bone stock bike or as close to stock as possible. rather have the bike done my way instead of just buying one modded.

I thought the Ducati 1198 was the fastest in the 1/4 but the bimmer had a higher top end.... Could be wrong tho, havent looked into rockets for quite a while

not sure but the bmw is one amazing bike. if i had the money thats what i would get. especially after seen what brock is doing with them

i actually went to the BMW factory in munich when i was like 14. they were making some insane bike there, but i have no idea what it was. they are def cool, but to me, ducati is the definition of a superbike

well ya ducati is like the ferrari of bikes lol. but im really not into whipping around corners and what not. and how many do you see running down the 1320

For the money you want to spend, like stated 01-02 gixxer 1k is the way to go. Not only are the bikes crazy fast out of the box, but there is an incredible aftermarket for parts. You can build one pretty cheap with used parts from Psychobike.com

ya ive been lurkin psychobike and 1320bikes. most id do is arm, lower, gear, exhaust, tune. and maybe a few other little things. but will stay stock for atleast a season till i get my clutch hand right lol.
