That really sucks. Traxxas will take care of it if you call them. If not, you can always send that part in through a hobby shop for warranty. Al's Hobby Shop usually does it and all you have to pay is the shipping. I've handled warranty work through them before.

Just got off the phone with traxxas. They are covering it under warranty but I have to pay to ship it.

Should call back and see if they'll ship first with a deposit or something. I'd ask for that. Did you buy it at a hobby store of on the net? If store, take it back and get another one. Faster.

Yeah Brand new....bought it online from a rc store in MN. Got the unit for $30 bucks less that Hobbytown and that included the wheelie bar.


Already asked about them covering the shipping and they won't. Oh well

I get a discount at Al's Hobby Shop. They also keep track of how much I've spent. I've never asked. :joshers:

Al's is a 50 minute drive.. the only thing closer is Grayslake Hobbies, Venture Hobbies (who doesn't stock shit anymore 'cos they broke!) and Hobbytown in Schaumburg or Northbrook. To the north, there's Gary's hobby center in Racine.. ehh.

Plus the wheelie bar and the tax savings. So probably more like $50 in savings. Worth it to me.

Also traxxas does not require local shops to perform warranty swaps. So no guarantee that a local shop would have even taken care of it.
