Engine explodes after oil change

01 w body 3800 plastic upper plenumn.
it must have loaded up with fuel from a leaking injector or a really bad regulator.
It looks like it blew part of the intake off, that's the only thing that makes sense.

In 20+ years of working on cars I've seen some strange stuff.
Just had a hemi durango that was misfiring for a LONG time. Customer drove it that way. Some people dont care just as long as it still drives.
Then came plate renewal time, = failed emissions.
One of the techs in the shop did a simple repair, got it running correctly.
Customer then requests an oil change, he does it. Upon start up, on the previous misfiring cylinder the piston failed.
It snaped in 2 around the circumference of the piston thru the piston pin bore.
The top of the piston stayed near the top of the bore @ valve lift height.
The bottom followed the rod down the bore & broke @ the bottom of the bore.
Then the rod went thru the block in the side of the bore on the next few revolutions.

Never know what your gonna run into.
