So my friend has a 98 Toyota Avalon. Lately it's been making a loud popping noise. We had it at our friends house who is a mechanic. We had it there for some motor work but mentioned the noise when turning. Took it for a ride and couldn't reproduce it. Well I was in the car last night and noticed it happens at the same driveway which is a right turn UPHILL. Anyone know what this could be? Its a very loud pop, almost like something is breaking. This car is supposed to drive to Michigan in a few weeks so I dont know if it is safe to do so.
