Eric of Japan....Any reviews?

I need the auto tranny in my Accord replaced and I heard of a JDM place in Chicago called Eric of Japan somewhere on Elston. He quoted me $450 for a JDM transmission for an F22b.

i've heard nothing but good reviews about Eric of Japan. A couple people on honda-tech had some good things to say as well.

This is the first thread where i've ever seen anything negative about them. I'd say give them a shot!

I'm gonna have to admit, I've emailed them in the past about motors, and the emails I received back appeared that A) They did not, infact, READ my email from start to finish, and were B) Were in broken english, and VERY hard to understand.

*I had emailed them about a D15B motor they had, essentially asking if the one they had on ebay was a OBD1 or OBD2 model, and if it had 1 or 2 Vtec solenoids (as their ad states that the pictures shown represent the motor, and were not infact the motor being sold)

They replied with "Yes, this motor has the Vtec" or something along those lines...
