F-150 300ci I6 towing ablity?

i just bought a f-150. it a 300ci I6, its got 85,000 miles and its a 5 speed. my question is: will it do ok towing my camaro to the track? what is the towing ability of the I6? i know these motors but out a decent amount of torque. i just want to know what you guys think.

How much does a house weigh? It can tow about that much.

But seriously, what kind of trailer? I think they are rated for 5000lbs or so? You may be pushing the rated limitations, but I know those things are BEASTS when it comes to towing.

its an aluminum car trailer, with the car on it its probably close to 5500lbs.

You'll be fine. I use to pull a friends car and trailer in my FX4 Ranger with ease.

It's not fast but it will have no problem towing it. I used to tow a 3300lb car on an aluminum trailer with mine. The engine is bullet proof too. I shouldn't have ever sold my truck. :-(

Same clutch and trans used for the 5.0 F-150's, Same part numbers and all to my understanding.

It is stronger than a T5, and I'll put one behind my supercharged 5.0 this winter... M5OD-R2

if it was an f250 I6 it'd have the awesome zf s42 5spd (similar to whats going in my 68)
the 4.9 is pretty stout, wont have a problem but fully loaded the v8's got better mpg

you wont have aproblem

that straight six was in some of their bigger trucks too

i hear these motors run forever and for $800 i couldnt pass it up. i love the truck so far. the seat is so comfortable, its like sitting on a couch. lol

thanks for the input man. its got a hitch so someone was pulling stuff with it before.

i have a seat from my old 86 351w/c6 truck....its on my back porch....its pretty comfortable to sit on lol

i still have a bunch of parts from it in a box somewhere in my garage lol
