i have a generic no-name keyless entry system that i want to put into my 94 trams am.

here is what i need to wire:

Brown- Direction lights (parking lights...easy...brown wire from main switch behind the fuse block)

red to battery or constant 12v

red/black to trunk release

black ground (chassis ground)

white-lock signal

yellow- ground (chassis ground)

yellow/black- unlock signal

the door switch seems to be a 5 wire negative trigger...

i know on the 3 wire (96+), there is a constant on 12v, unlock, and lock...

but on the 5wire...which wire is what?

all i really need (from what it seems) is to find the lock signal wire and unlock signal wire.

is there a 12v constant that i can feed into near the bcm? i'm assuming the best place to pick up lock/unlock is in the 6 pin connector on the bcm?

can i bypass RAP (retained accessory power) issues by just running the power straight to the battery with a fuse?
if i did that i should only have to find a couple grounds, hook up the parkin lights to flash and splice into the lock/unlock as well as trunk release correct?

any help/wiring diagrams would be useful.

Red to red @ ignition switch, brown to parking lights, you have that figured out, red/black to trunk release, but you need a relay, essentially like this http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/pdf/trunkpop.htm.... lock and unlock essentially like this at the passenger switch http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/pdf/typec.htm

yeah i just wanted to get around the 5 wire...i ordered the dei 451m harness to expedite everything.

thanks for the diagram.

since it is an au0 car (factory keyless), then i should be able to use the red/black and orange black at the 8pin connector on the keyless module in the pass kick panel correct?

$60 and I will take care of that for ya

take no offense but i wanted to try and do it myself as much as i could (short of asking for help on the interwebs lol)

if i give up and want you to do it i will be pm'ing you. lol

Yeah, that's what I'm getting from the link I sent... being at home, im kinda stuck going off the widely available, less helpful diagrams unfortunately. but looks like 5-wire setup, just done at that module. make sure not to use the wires it says on the link though.

meaning:

don't cut into the wires off of the master switch (passenger)

and splice into the wires by the keyless module instead as noted in this link

did i get that correct?
