and by real shit you mean gutless?

alphas seem to be holding their value quite a bit... but the 5 bangers can be had for quite a bit less.. ive been reading up on the 5 cylinders and it seems that they are pretty tough lil motors, im thinking a little boost will put some pep in their step...

but no one has done it really...

there are some colorado guys that have thrown turbos at em... but only a few... some good whp #s at not too crazy of boost #s... iirc one colorado on a 3.7 at about 10psi was at 360+ whp...

i kind of dont believe 390 whp at 8psi... thats nuts.

my 3.8l v6 at 13 psi probably wouldnt be about there... to make that power out of a 3.7 inline 5... mmm.

but if it is true, i think it is an area that these trucks could really expand on... 3-4k$ turbo kit that puts them at almost 400 whp... i really think there is potentially a pretty big market for it... and with it being an inline motor plumbing is relatively easy..

another dyno tid bit.

The addition of the new V-3 Si-Trim centrifugal supercharger will increase crankshaft power from 242 to 340 HP with additional torque up to 307 lb.ft. at 7 PSI. on 91 octane pump gasoline.

its all sort of a pipe dream, and kind of goofy also because no one has done it really... so itd be interesting to see how the awd parts held up- transfer case/front end/rear end... trans is a 4l60e... so if it needs help its okay to get rebuilt- i havent looked much into the x case or front end or rear end yet... but from what i have read they are pretty stout... 4x4 colorado guys putting 400+ hp through em stock...

im not looking to run 11s or something in the thing- i want it to be peppier than stock and i dont have the money for a 25k$ 5.3 powered alpha h3...
