New Boss

So I was surfing this weekend and noticed that Rod Baker Ford down in Plainfield had a new Boss Mustang. So today I went down to take a peek.

They have a white w/black stripes, the Recaro seats and 3.73 gears. I would post pics but don't see how and I don't have any of the photobucket, etc. accounts.

Now the downside, they want $20K OVER MSRP!?!?!?!?!?! Personally I think they are HIGH, LITERALLY.

I don't think you can hold what some stupid dealerships are charging against the cars performance for dollar factor. All new performance cars get some sort of mark-up when they first come out. The Z06's, ZR1's, ACR's, were probably no different. Now I will admit that dealership is smoking one LARGE crackpipe, because there is no way in hell someone is going to pay $20K over MSRP.

Alright so Boss MSRP is 40,310 (Doesn't include the options that one has, but for the sake of argument will keep it here) plus $20K markup, $60K. Now get a basic V6 with MSRP of $22,310 (should get it for less than MSRP as well), and a GT Premium for $33,310 (Again should get it for less than MSRP) and you still have $5k give or take left over....

Only an idiot with too much money would pay that. A couple of dealers were charging 3-5K over MSRP in Fall 2004 when I was shopping for my Mustang. I was able to get the car using the X-plan which is a few hundred over invoice. The dealer that I bought my Mustang from had a GT500 for sale for a long time for 90K.

Agreed Jason. Oh, and the x-plan is the bomb. I've been F150 eco boost shopping :ford:

There are several Boss owners saying they paid sticker for their cars. Not below sticker but actual sticker. No mark up or "market adjustment". I know a guy that works at a dealership and they said theirs would sell for sticker as well. And I think they still have it.

I wouldn't doubt that within 6 months you hear of people getting them under the x-plan.
