Capa Certified vs non Capa Certified parts

Ill be putting a deposit on a new Hood tomorrow. The place I'm going to is called Bumper City. They offer non capa certified hoods for $120, or capa certified hoods for $135. They are both brand new and come primered.

Whats the difference?

Also, they're aftrmarket hoods.

It's hit or miss but the CAPA parts "should" fit better and last longer.

I guess for a guaranteed fitment with the capa, another $15 shouldn't be a big deal.

I would guess non certified would be equivalent to certi-fit body parts
Certi-fit, (I call it Sorta-fit)

Certifit buys up all the old equipment at auto manufacturing plants after they produced 200,000 body parts. Then they press out fenders/hoods/etc. etc. but they aren't as accurate at pressing out parts like when the machine was new...then they sell these sorta fit parts for cheap.

anything certified vs. non certified sounds better anyway you look at it. especially if it's only a few dollars more

after fucking with my CF hood on my SHO.. i bit the bullet and got it professionally installed..


i would have paid an additional $15 more to guarantee fitment.. let alone $100 more.. hah
