are glass packs directional?

I just bought a cheapo glass pack to use as a resonator because my current one has a loose baffle and makes noise. There are perforations in the inner pipe and depending on what way I installed the glass pack one way would catch the exhaust to pull it towards the outside and if I were to flip it, it would not. So any ideas?

If it catchs air it is quieter and reduces flow. Flip and the opposite occurs. Up to you.

I want to quiet it down, I dont think it will make much difference being that it is 3" piping.

some are, some arent. if it just has little holes, then no, the flopro one i put on the gtp has little "scoops" in it

No it won't. Lol I bet you could reverse it and not hear or feel a difference but this is what the "experts" say.

on the low/mid rpm's it wont kill much but up top it can.
also putting it in so that it catches can accelerate packing material blowout.

hackout that exhaust post zzp res, listen/record for reference, remove res, repeat them slip that bugger on both ways temporarily to see whether it will do what you want

it will at least give you a reference as to what it will sound like with the rest of the exhaust on it.

This one has little "scoops" as KagA152 described. I am running 3" exhaust and would like to quiet it down a little but also so not want to hurt any flow. So what way should I install it 35" long glass pack resonator?

test and ye shale see....seriously its one cut behind the zzp 3 chamber, listen, cut the front off, listen to glasspack on both directions (just slip it on der)

use a vid camera behind the car to record each test juuuust in case your ears are funky from dust and old age

Just finished this at work on the lift and at idle it sounds a lot deeper and better! I hope the buzzing noise at cruise is gone.

I'm a fan of the glasspack sound on GP's...quiet on the inside, and still deep/rowdy on the outside. GP's with loud exhausts in the interior are not fun to drive!

buzzing noise is gone! This totally deepened the tone of the exhaust and it is still quite loud.
