I have done a few..

seal off as much of the car as you can with plastic so the fumes dont get in as it will take weeks to get out

use tin foil and tinfoil tape

make your mold with 2 layers then you can pull the mold out and do the rest of the enclosure

I usually do a minimum of 7 layers of glass followed by 2 of soup glass resin and bondo mix and then bondo til shaped and then get it smooth as glass if your gonna paint or just cover with fabric

Does fiberglass enclosures tend to resonate? I'd imagine a sealed sub would do that. I've never built or heard one...just curious

Yes they can if it is too thin or you do not baffle the inside properly. I prefer to make the box out of MDF then make a fiberglass cover for it. This works better as you have the rigid strength of a wood box but can blend it's appearence with the interior using the fiberglass cover.

If made correctly, A fiberglass box will work fine.
