My wife has a 2004 Cadillac SRX with an aftermarket remote start from Hornet. It will just start on it's own randomly through out the day. Anything????

Some of those starts have programmable starting times in them. If is a nicer new one, then she might have accidently set a time to start. Some of them even have turbo timers and shit built in so that could very well be activated as well???? That is all I got

only thing i could say beside what he mentioned is to reset it and reprogram the remotes....

is it always in the same area (ie near a particular area where an erronious signal could be interpreted as a start command) or is it everywhere?
suddenly start doing this or was it in an accident/repaired recently? battery replaced? maybe the unit was hacked in and someone kicked the control unit/kickpanel it is laying on... causing an intermittent circuit issue.

Also the higher end starters have a battery minder in them also. If the voltage drops, they start to charge the vehicle back up.

That's a nice feature I guess, unless you don't have much fuel left in the tank. If that is the case maybe a bad battery.

It's happening in different places at different times. I can't even find the brain box under the dash. No accidents or nothing with the battery.
