Peole gave me shit for speculating that the next gt500 would be waiting in the wings to trump gm's super charged camaro. Fords not stupid and will be opportunistic since they now have that leverage. Gm can't afford to retool the ss or the lz1 too early into it's current gen life cycle.

its a cycle.... Gm dominated the muscle car industry for so long. When bankruptcy and money troubles hit GM, thier money was spent on research and development on "green" technology. The problem with the gt500 is that its still on a mustang platform.for the kind of money your going to spend on it wouldnt you want a more refined sports car like the corvette? My opinion on the Gt500 is that it is no more exclusive as a srt4. sure it will perform with the best, but at the end of the day its a mustang. Im not sure of the msrp of the zl1 but if its anywhere close to the gt500, i would still advice chevy consumer to opt for the vette. why? vettes make em wet

Ford has done an awesome job getting the most out of their solid rear axle cars recently, and the GT500 will not be any exception. Vettes for as cool as they are don't really excite me that much. I want a place to put my luggage if I decide to drive across the country.
