Man i love warranties

thanks man. im glad its like new. getting little better gas milage too now.

i was suprised when he told me they redid all the seals, clutches and shift accumulators. i was like damn, i had a hidden smile while there. now i can let er loose a bit.

smrtss - i had a slight humming i could hear, gets louder as speed goes up. you can test is by goin down a empty street, dont need to be fast (30-45) and turn left to right back and forth and kinda S wave down the street, and if you hear the hum/buzz when you turn one way but stop when the cars weight shifts to the other side when you turn the other way, then its the bearing. get the car some weight to the one side and youll be able to hear it pretty well.

dan wolf chevy. ive never had a problem with them. price wise for buying, you gotta be a dick and basically walk out on them. they didnt budge much on price so i made them do all new tires and brakes all around.

service wise, they are fast and great to me. always have a loaner ready for me too.

they try to keep the largest TBSS stock in chicagland too. they had 6 yesterday. somedays ill go by and see 10 and few days later they are down to like 4.

I'm shocked a GM dealership actually did warranty work! They're usually send-offs when it comes down to warranty work. Keep that dealer around!

Congrats man it must feel nice getting all that work done. Especially for free :)

Really? I never had a problem with mine taking it to a GM dealer.

:fy: man, nice. My car loved its warranty

huh. I feel like they aren't the most competent there. I've had my fiancées g6 in there 4 times for warranty work since we bought it in December... It seems like they never have parts in, or the specialist didn't come in or something of that sort.

And yes, they always do have a large selection of TBSS's there.

you will still crack a sunshell or break a forward sprag just as easy in a new trans as a used one. i used to be an appr****** with a trans guy and we replaced a lot of parts in tbss transmissions.

yeah i know they are weak. i didnt mean like spray the car to the moon. just can drive it now without worrying of the trans slipping

You guys with the TBSS's that're under warranty might want to start "complaining" about harsh shifting from 1st to 2nd to get it noted in the GM records to possibly make it easier to get it replaced under warranty. I pretty much baby my SS and have a trans cooler and mine went in November at 57,000 miles. Unless you want to put a built trans in start getting a record of it whether its happening or not.
