how "quickly" should battery voltage drop

when a hand held voltmeter is hooked up to a car battery which is out of the car.



I had it on a trickle all night, and this morning It read 12.14 volts and dropped .01 every 8 seconds or so consistantly..

I guess im asking what type of draw the little voltmeter pulls from the car battery?

my dad had his hooked up to his 99 vette and I believe it lost about 2% of life a day. dunno if this helps. prob not.

Our batteries at work drop pretty similar to yours. When I have to charge them up I bring them up to 12 volts and swap the charger over and bring that one up to 12. By then the other ones have dropped down to near 11volts.

These are $2500 lithium ion 12v car sized batteries FYI.
