This goes out to all you guys that have had Fox Bodies. I'm going to be in need of some extensive welding in the next couple of months (subframe connectors, cracks in the seat mounts ect). I was wondering if anyone knows of a respected shop or Mustang specialist in the west to Northwest burbs.
My seat mount broke out of the floor and they are prone to cracking too. I was thinking of taking it to my trusted mechanic, but i'm sure they've never done anything like this. A specialist would probably get the job done right while also knowing about some other things to look for while they're under there.
Any suggestions would be appreciated,

I wouldnt go to speed inc for my subframes but they could probably do them.

Sutton ford would be fine, those guys know what their doing. Although Im probably going to go to CMJ Performance.com Their in Addison, IL and from what Ive seen they do good work. I already spoke with him about doing my SF's and a few odds and ends.

Theirs lots of places in the area that people recommend. Just go to Chitownracing and search subframes. youll see lots of threads with people asking where to get them welded. Lots of options and locations in those threads.

I know, I do too...I still kick myself in the ass for passing on a air to air front mount IC made by them for a Fox.

I'm just looking for a place that specializes in this kind of thing. The only "performance" place that i've ever been too was Car Boutique when they still had the Wheeling store open. I'll check out that list that Crawlin gave.
Also, do you know how long it might take to get the connectors installed?

definately welding them in. I'm gonna get some new heavy duty upper and lower torque boxes too, anyone have those too?
