Sorry to go off topic, but when you put the replacement motor in it, are you going to turn down the boost? That may not have been what killed your motor, I was just curious.

Why does low miles matter honestly?

You can pickup a shortblock from an Ex-Cab/Interceptor for like $200 from You-Pull it (Or a longblock for $350) and then have it rebuilt by a shop if you are worried about it burning oil for whoever you are going to sell it too, or if you are going to keep it.

I'm most likely going to hold onto it and DD it. And it'll cost more to have a higher mileage SB rebuilt than just buying a lower mileage SB in the first place.

b/c if I do end up selling it, I don't want to tell the buyer that the car has 45k miles, but the engine has 150k miles....

And I may want to keep running the car hard (non turbo) and I would like to have the peace of mind of a lower mileage sb...

ive got a 54k 4.6 out of a 94 marquis. swap your pi heads and intake on it and youll get a nice bump in performance due to the higher compression.

Stock PI engines are 9.74:1 compression and PI heads NPI block is 10.48:1 compression. Its really not that drastic.

basic rebuild can be done for like $700 top to bottom including parts by a machine shop.... $300 for a Interceptor motor.... $1000 for a brand new motor

how much is a low mileage motor going to set you back?

10.48 is good for an all aluminum heads/block on 93. Not great for boost obviously.

Eh, Teksid block with PI heads is 12.6:1 and would be a lot of fun without the turbo.
