GTO People: Ideas needed about stripped plastic screw

So, the passenger side headlight readjust screw that's made of plastic (thanks GM!) has completely stripped out. The plastic was so brittle and when I had to readjust, it fell apart on the phillips during an adjustment.

Any ideas as to how I can readjust from here on out? The accompany turning mechanism looks like a socket can fit around it, but that shit is plastic, too. Probably will strip pretty quickly.

I'm not sure if there is some type of putty I can put in there that'll harden and then I can maybe heat up a phillips head and force it while hot to carve myself a new grip.

I'm open to any ideas as I'd like to not have to buy a new assembly for a $0.04 screw that GM thought was a good decision at the time.

Is it possible to order the parts from gm separate? Like if u call and they have an exploded view of the parts?

It is. It's the Pontiac gto.... But it's got a lot of the autralian feel to it. And I think the headlights may be the same for both versions

Have you tried a gm dealer or even an online catalog like gmpartsdirect?

The gmc dealer by me used to be a Pontiac dealer. I'm sure an old Pontiac dealer like that would know the best way to get it.

Or just try to cut a slot in it. I'd spray it with some pb blaster or something first. Headlight adjustment screws always strip/break regardless of make.

This is very true, that weird that happened my 04 turned with little effort. I figured it was gonna strip and not move like every other car I tried it on but I was wrong.
