Yea, you're right, 5 locking nuts that are recessed into a wheel are just as easy to remove as one giant nut that sticks out of the side of the wheel.

Remember that this one nut has to hold the same amount of pressure as 5 smaller ones so it is going to be on much tighter therefore much more difficult to take off. I would much rather tote around a hammer and chissel to steal a wheel rather than a 5 ft pipe to break the nut loose

on a side note.. outside my shop an old beater with 24s that had engine work completed by us, sitting outside, had the rims stolen.. no wheel locks or anything...

he is threatening to sue us.. even though we make it clear to all customers, and we have signs that say we are not responsible for vehicles parked on our property after hours.

he CLAIMEd they were.. get this.. $24,000 worth of rims/tires..

on a junk ass $500 car.

I parked next to it today, and it was on CINDER BLOCKS.. i thought it was a joke or something :bowrofl:
