VW R32 mods / tuning

anyone familiar with modifying R32's ?? what's needed, tuning and computers ??

my brother in law wants to do all sorts of shit with his, and he's not too internet savvy,

just wondering if anyone local was familiar with these cars, i will be searching VW forums

08+ or 04? both use a "chip" to tune witch is just a flash based on a stage of what mods are on the car, they are pretty limited to intake exhaust as far as power but there is a supercharger kit for the 04, i have seen turbo kits and such but don't know if anyone really does custom dynotunes

all the nutswingers will tell you that if you put a turbo kit on the car, the sum of the parts (kit + vehicle) will be less than what the car is worth.... i have literally argued with several morons about this before.

Just tell him to get a nice exhaust, tune and lower it. Anything else is just ruining the car. Kid at work has an 04 with I think a magnaflow catback. Sounds amazing.

i did some searching yesterday,

he's got it lowered with OZ wheels already....it might have an exhaust already

he wants to remove the speed limiter.....why ? who knows, he's nuts.
he should have never got rid of his mustang.............but, se la vi

I ran one with the PT a few weeks back, looked like he had an exhaust and probably an intake and not much else...was surprised on how well I stayed with him considering, I was completely off boost when he came up on me. Really thought they were a lot quicker than that.

what color is it? is it a blue one with two stickers on the back?

Blue with tints and black OZ wheels. I don't know about stickers. His name is Sean.

We have a guy with an 08+ that stops in at my work to get his "race" wheels/tires put on because he autocrosses his. I dont know exactly what he has done, besides different brake pads/fluid/rotors (I think he said off an Audi, he hangs with the Audi crowd) and I think a magnaflow exhaust. Its white with IIRC a black stripe. REALLY nice car and sounds phenominal!
