What makes the stock clutch so bad that you would want to goto a aftermarket already?

it is unlike any manual i have driven...

If you spin the tires up to redline and try to shift... instead of being at 40-45mph.. you are really at 30mph... so at 7krpms when you try to shift, the RPMS will drop down to like 3krpms.. and the clutch says FUCK THAT and just slips.

So like the trans is a weak point on a GTP, the rear end on a F-Body and the clutch on a Cobalt?

i guess we can call it a downfall.... many people have over 300whp on the stock clutch.. it is how you drive it.


Yes i will admit i get a little antsy and sping them first gear sometimes, resulting in a clutch slip


actually the WEAK part of the cobalt are the axles... ugh.
