There was the Cougar Ace carrying 4700 new Mazdas back in 2005.

They scrapped every vehicle, even the ones that stayed strapped in and out of the water. (Which were most of them!)

These were some of the cars they flattened. They recycled no parts, they all went to the shredders!

Imagine if that was a ship from Germany filled with 3, 5 & 7 Series cars?

its a liability, if the cars had some problem the owners could sue. I am sure they got their insurance money out of it, so it was all good.
