Washing the Caddy tomorrow. Bugs are back in town and it went on a road trip this week to Siesta Key.

Installed a catch can on my Escalade that I got from UPR. I'm an idiot and cut one of the hoses too short and the hose spacer I got is a little too big but those are easy fixes. Now I just have to wash this dirty thing.

Let it sit. Hasn't moved all day, and probably won't. Slight chance of me going out later.

I added more coolant, oil, and changed the oil filter as well as changed out the spark plug on the cylinder that is getting coolant in it on the GF's 98 Honda Civic.. lol! Its had a popped head gasket since she bought it 4 years ago. It slowly burns oil and pushes coolant and oil into one cylinder. The oil stays relatively free of coolant but I have to sift a layer of oil out of the overflow tank weekly.. lol.

Here is an older shot of the overflow tank prior to sifting the oil out...

Not worth it. The car has somewhere in the neighborhood of 300k on it. Odometer says 259k but the spedo doesn't work either. 2 doors no longer open. The hood is buckled and the front end is held together with random metal brackets and sheet metal screws after some kind of accident before the bought it. she picked it up to drive through 1 winter and junk it but here it is 4 years and still going. I've done a brake job on the front brakes and put 2 tires on it in 4 years.

Fuck it run it!

Put gas in the Tahoe today. Yesterday I drank a beer while contemplating getting under the Formula and pulling the clutch off and seeing what the issue is to order up some parts. Finished my beer and went and watched TV.

Looks good, did you replace rotors as well? How much of a difference did you notice?

Rotors were already new from last year when i replaced the pads on the stock calipers, they have about 1500 miles on them. Have not done any slams yet, but ive hit it hard a couple times and the stopping power has greatly improved.

Lot more pad space to grip the rotor on these calipers.

Washed the DD today, sent email to Discount tire to see if they'll price match Amazon.

Trying to decide if 255/35/18's are worth $48 more per tire over a 245/40/18

Used my new grease gun on the LCA's on the Z28 hoping it would cure my creaking rear suspension for a short time... It did not. so I pulled the LCA down on the poly bushing side and turns out the problem is the spherical rod end side is rusted soo bad its sticking. I used to replace the rod ends every couple years but the LCA itself was soo rusty last time I decided against it and was going to replace them. Yeah 12 year old UMI LCA's driven in all weather. yeah Time for a replacement.
