My neighbor has a 98 Malibu. The battery was disconnected and now the HU displays LOC. Ive done a good deal of searching and ive found one site that has a good list of instructions on how to unlock it. Only problem is that the one of the codes you enter in the 1800 number does not work.
When you press preset numbers 2 and 3 you get code 262
When you press the AM FM button you get code 263
The HU is a cassette only. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!
Call a dealer, tell them your batt died and got it jumped, they usually just give it to you. I had a 'super secret' phone number hotline for this, but have since lost it.
