So the car is officially 100% mine now, I got it handed over to me on my 18th b-day so I started doin' some work. I threw away all my turbo ideas and sold the parts I had layin' around for it and decided to just make it my summer cruiser. With college coming up, I wanna be able to rock the Supra and not worry about money problems. So far the only thing I have to do is get a new window regulator, fix the rear quarter panel, and get new rear shocks.

What I have done so far is paint the engine compartment from red to flat black so it'll match the car. I loved how it came out, I think it looks better than if the engine bay was blue also! I also took apart my headlights, plast-X'd them, and painted the housing black. Don't worry, I made sure to keep the shrouds chrome :)

Here are all the pics! Lemme know what you think:

Engine bay before. red and grimey:

^Ah you might be right, it might just be the pistons.

The XSPower 67mm for now and looking at a PTE6776 (Precision) this weekend! Hopefully things go well with that :)

And most likely a 1.3mm

I read almost your whole build thread and it's sickk! I love what you did with the car from scratch. I want the R154 also but ya, money is going into turbo first lol. How do you like the R154?

Nice, how did you go about painting the engine bay with the motor in the car?

And I just taped shit off and started spraying! The motor wasn't blocking too much it goes straight down the middle (I6). I just moved all the little stuff out the way, taped some things, cleaned it up, and sprayed it. Came out good, even in person. Missed couple spots but doing a 2nd coat soon

ya, i got a great price on the full swap, so i couldnt pass it up. i'm still in the break-in period, so i havent really done any spirited driving yet. so far, its pretty nice. the shifter sits a little high for my liking, but ive heard there is an easy way to fix that. surprisingly, the w58 held some good pulls while i had it. haha
