redneck fix?

well mounts for my truck are 25$ each...a bit more than i want to spend since i dont care about the 390fe

i'm not a pussy like most of ya on here that cant handle driving a machine that sounds and vibrates like a machine (panda/DD)...sooo

should i just get two turnbuckles and chain and tie her down to the framerails? or just leave her be since the mounts do have mechanical interlocks

besides someday it may get a 460 and 5spd so i can actually cruise at 70

yeah thats what i figured

i have some nice weathered chain but id have to get new turnbuckles and that would quite fit in if ya know what i mean

maybe i'll just use the chain and double nut a vintage body mount bolt from the parts truck as the tension adjuster
(since i like the way jared thinks)

My engine and trans mounts are fine on my truck, unfortunately the body mounts are shot and will have to be replaced in the spring...on the upside they're almost all the way rusted out, so lifting the body off the frame for the procedure shouldn't be that hard!

i'll be chaining her down...for now...i'll be making my own solid motor mounts for my new engine/trans
looks to be a 92-94 F350HD 460 and external slave cylinder 5spd zf trans (allows me to keep mechanial clutch linkage)...has the external oil cooler...fuckin clean inside the valve covers, he was told 89k when he got it...i believe it!, trans gates are crisp...all i need is the firewall to pcm harness and some fab work. ray's right...this is just begging for a 3ft shifter with a skull on top lol

the 5.72 first and 2.94 2nd gears make me want a 3.25 rear gear instead of the 3.55 i have to swap under her

aaannnd the main reason i want it in my truck yesterday...the 5 speed OD external slave manual trans. too bad it doesnt have the parking brake but my oem parking brake is fine lol all i need is to fab a Zbar mount to the bellhousing and i can use my original mechanical clutch linkage instead of converting to hydraulic's

i get that bad mother fucker plus a cherry rebuilt SBF C6 trans, driveshaft and 4 96+ ford truck rims...all for 500$

i just had to hammer the outlet pipe of my truck back into the muffler...i think the last couple forced backfires poped it out :rollpicard:

89 chrysler minvan washer bottle and pump swapped into my 68 f250, i had to use the washer sprayer T from my parts truck, and reaim the sprayers.

at least i dont have to splash the washer fluid on anymore



and i put on the nicer ranger package horn ring

she's a thirsty bitch
