Wow, good observation. Looks like the throttle is still on the right side, just the pedals are switched.

I'm really diggin that bike. This is what I'm looking at for my next bike:

I wish it had better performance figures. It accelerates only slightly better than my current bike (pretty much on par with a 600cc). Handles pretty much the same. I guess Ducati wasn't trying to dominate the sport bike world with this model.

Quick update:

Cylinder head done this Saturday, bringing the cylinder barrel for bore/hone, cams and tappets to get polished, and the rods for new pin bushings.

Right side exhaust cam bushing spun, need to see if I can re-use the crankcase.

Making my parts list (lots of bearings and bushings).

Cleaning the crank sludge trap now.

Gears look good, crank journals look good, primary chain looks good, oil pump holds pressure.

Engine should be back together in a few weeks, as long as the crankcase is OK.
