if I were you, find another 3100 with a blown LIM gasket that noone wants to fix. Buy car, fix lim gasket, have a cheap dd. And I know your lumina took a dump, but I wouldn't rule 3100's out completely for a dd...

It's not bad actually. Get a compression test done. I'd say if that passes just fine and the gearbox doesn't grind it would be a decent buy.

Yea. I had a 20 yr old crx that had 180k an the only problems I had were really age related. I replaced all rubber coolant line cause they were cracked. That was about it. Got 40+ mpg and was still peppy enough to be kinda fun.
