I just confused how using brakes on a Dyno would mess up anything other than the brakes, or dyno, seems like a trans failure to me.... unless he was engine braking the dyno, but not really gonna be able to do that in an auto

TC for sure. I blew one up once, and it sounds like a loud crack, just like in the vid. The white smoke is trans fluid spraying on the hot exhaust...TC failure wuoldn't cause this, but perhaps he burst a cooler line and that's why it failed.

i agree. if dumbass hit the trans brake and it engaged it would tear up a bunch of shit.

At UTI that was the one thing the instructors relentlessly told us anytime we were diving on the dyno. Don't hit the brakes! I've never seen the result of that until now. Gruesome.

That wasn't because he hit the brakes, just a coincidence. The brakes will just overheat badly if you use the vehicle brakes. The TC took a giant shit there. Looks like either a pump failure or a line burst and then the TC let go because of it.

BTW, don't ever stand where the guy in the green shirt was standing. Very dangerous.

Maybe he wanted to take a serpentine belt to the face(or various other flying engine parts).... I've seen one make it through the radiator, and half into the AC condenser, I avoid that path like the plague
