Alright my lumina just rolled 71k its got a nasty tick that just started 2 days ago, im tired of fucking with this car. found a 1994 dodge dakota at a dealership in indiana that the is willing to do a straight up trade for my car. dakota has a V-8 4x4 121k. i just got a new job that i start in a week and need to travel about 25 miles to get there, i really dont want to have the lumina die on me. what would u do? if anybody has any other suggestions for me that would be greatly appreciated as well.

barely audible when at idle, gets louder the higher the rpms get. it sounds deep in the motor. ill try and take a video of it and see if the noise is audible

talked to a mechanic the other day, says he thinks a lifter is sticking because of some sludge, he said to try marvel mystery oil, any of u guys ever try that stuff?

im tryin marvel mystery oil, just put a quart in it about 5 min ago, ill give this a couple days, if this doesnt work then ill try sea foam

ive never put that stuff in an engine, but that shit works MIRACLES on loosening rusted/frozen bolts.
