Many of you are familiar with our shop and some of the accomplishments that we have been a part of. Our most notable is most likely our Drag EVO VIII that produces over 1142 AWHP on just race gas and no nitrous (see video below). Well not a day goes by that we don't get requests to build a monster to rival that in each of the markets we deal in. The fact of the matter is that building a car like that is not just expensive but very time consuming. We would much rather work with a customer and partner up to build such a car so that not only are we doing something previously not done but putting a BIG SMILE on a customers face in the process. Thanks to our favorite Admin Chuck H and NAGTROC that is now a reality!

Chuck and AMS have been in talks for a couple months now on working together on the mother of all GT-R builds. Well after a meeting at SEMA this is now a reality. A transport is literally as we speak on its way to pick up chucks car for one HELL of a GT-R build. The goal is nothing less than 1000whp and hopefully quite a bit more. using the resources of our 20,000 square foot facility and our 30 staff members we are going to put the screws to Chucks GT-R over the winter and produce a car worthy to stand toe to toe to just about any GT-R out there.

The preliminary plans are to use our engineering resources to build a custom Twin turbo kit carrying two of our larger Garret Framed Turbo's like the 750R, 850R or 950R. This is a very time consuming and detailed process but in the end we will have not only created a solid turbo kit for Chuck car but as a result a solid twin turbo kit to sell to the GT-R market.

We are thinking of two of these hanging off of Chuck's GTR

oh, theres also this too....non ams related
While not news, the JUN Auto Custom Kit EX 4.0 was a little mythical in nature until SEMA this year. JUN were able to field a booth with various engine internal kits and among them, the kit for the Nissan GT-R which we first heard about back in March this year.

As promised the kit comprises pistons, rods and crank. ARP rod bolts are specially selected by JUN for the kit. The price is set at a nice round 1,880,000 yen or around the $20,000 USD mark in Japan.

As for results and expected power output, as yet there is very little public data. When asked for test data we were informed that we can expect some once the upcoming JUN camshafts for VR38 become available and the whole engine is reassembled in the JUN GT-R.

While the real test data is not public, it’s known that JUN are shooting to be the first 1000hp R35 GT-R on the block using this setup with a custom exhaust manifolds sporting a pair of TD06H-25g turbos, the biggest yet to grace the VR38.

Details on the JUN camshafts should be available within the next two months so stay tuned for that.

Just seems crazy to throw a stroker kit in it; though it should just make torque that much crazier. Did they say how big?

I like 2 huge turbos better I think. Maxing out stock long block then take the next step.

4.0l stroker....from the 3.8....its all contained in that blurb i posted..unless u meant something else?

Proving that it’s not only the Japanese that can put together a complete turbo and manifold upgrade for the Nissan GT-R, John Hennessey has released the following preview video on Youtube. It shows the Hennessey Nissan GT-R with a fairly decent sized pair of GT30R strapped to the side in a high mount configuration. Also as you can see, to match the turbos they’ve fabricated a custom stainless manifold, custom stainless dump pipes and fitted up a pair of external wastegates.

The high mount location means they can fit up some nice short intakes which should lend themselves naturally to higher performance. Each GT30R can flow enough air for 500hp so, with two of them, look out because we could soon be knocking on the door of four digit hp Nissan GT-Rs.

I'm rooting for AMS to get there first though...
