Just curious because my buddy has a WRX and the throwout bearing starting squealing on him. He took it to a dealer and they want $800 to replace and are trying to talk him into a clutch. Is this a majorly labor intensive job on these WRX's? Also, for a nice everday clutch on a car that is not modded and does not get raced do you guys have any suggestions for a nice clutch?
Ive had my down several times, Its not very difficult, worst part can be seperating trans from block. As for clutch, I'd say OEM exedy or exedy stage 1.
Any idea how many hours a shop should quote for it? Unfortunately, my friend is living in Cali now so I can't help him with the job. So you think he should stick with a stock clutch?
