looking at getting a duramax

well i am goign to be going home soon so i really dont need a good gasmilage car and i have always wanted a chevy or gmc with a duramax in it, and i would like to hear from you what i should look out for what should i check and what should i stay away from and what i should get? i have heard that the 2001s and 2002s have injector problems and they are spendy to fix. anything else i should look out for? thanks

what made you decide to go with the 05/06ish?

cause i was thinking for getting better gas milage, and better performance and it being cheaper then 05s amd 06s, 1200 bucks in injectors wouldnt be that bad. well i guess it depends on how much they go out? how often does it go out? or is it like grand prixs trannys, its a time bomb?

and do the 01s-04.5 come with the 6 speed allison?

01-04.5s no 6 speed... and 05/06s are badass... i love how the chevys/gms look and they dont seem to have that bad of anything going on with them.
