i dont hate it
At first glance, this looks like a clean, custom vintage Camaro, but the interior looks somewhat familiar and the powerplant certainly isn’t original. This is the Camaro RS06, owned by Corvette collector Ken Lingenfelter, and it was the featured vehicle in the Eaton display on the floor of the 2008 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The RS06 takes the styling cues from both the 1967 Camaro RS and the 2008 Corvette Z06.
Under the hood is a GMPP LS7, topped by a Harrup 2300 Supercharger and a set of Lingenfelter Performance cylinder heads, allowing the RS06 to make 640 horsepower, with an Eaton Performance Differential putting the power to the wheels. Based on a C5 Corvette platform, the RS06 uses modified versions of the C5s drivetrain layout and suspension setup, although the stock suspension has been improved upon via a set of K&W coilovers, and the braking system has been replaced with a full Baer 6-piston caliper setup.
The exterior of this vintage Camaro has been modified to include some Corvette styling cues, such as the vent openings along the bottom of the doors and the hood ‘scoop’, but the Camaro retains the overall shape and items such as the taillights and grille area, which are very similar to the 1967 Camaro. The interior of the car is completely modern, being based on the interior of a C6 Corvette. It is complete with a modern sound system, leather seats, and of course, air condition.
The RS06 was among the best looking cars on the floor of the 2008 SEMA Show, and this 640 horsepower monster does a great job of representing the two most storied of the Chevrolet performance models in one gorgeous car.
