They say this year's cruise had a little smaller turnout but last year's turnout was over 3 million people and over 40,000 cars! I have every reason to believe there was over 2 million people and over 30,000 cars.

I've been there a few times. I was there for the actual weekend of the cruise in 2003 and a few years later. BUT ... I've also managed to be in the Detroit area the weekend prior to the actual cruise weekend ... and it is buzzing in the area even THAT weekend.

woodward dream cruise is the place to go if you want to see some badass cars...ive been going for a while, and its unbelievable. 16 miles down, and 16 miles back up of nothing but cars on woodward ave...4 lanes on each side, and its bumper to bumper towards the evening. vendors all over the place, fairgrounds with shows everynight, just anything you can think of, its there.. i highly recommend going!!
