Cam sensor you can get anywhere but most likely will be ordered. I was lucky enough to find one at Va....Autozone. As for the puter? I would try the junk yards. You may get lucky

Your best bet is looking for used, in various dsm forums classifieds.

look at ur other thread i posted something that might help there, but E is right///might get lucky at a junk yard and Boosh is right...get use to it man...dsms are a great thing but hell to keep up with them. completely worth it when running though

It was like clock work for me every spring. Some shit always broke or needed fixing when spring time came around but it was mostly suspension. DSMs need alot of TLC but well worth it IMO.

Order one off of ebay or go to the junk yard. Why do you think you need a cam position sensor anyways? Does it not cause a spark at the coils? Give us more information.

my dads friend brought his computer over and scaned my car cause it wouldent pass emissions. so he brought that over and scaned my car. and it threw a code saying my cam sensor was messed up..that it wasent getting enough voltage..so we have to check the voltage and if its between .05 to 2..the cam sensor is messed up and the computer for my car

What is the code if you don't mind me asking? Did it also throw one for a crankshaft position sensor or a voltage transmitter code? This code will prevent cylinders ex. 1 and 3 from not firing.

maybe you shoulda researched this car befoer you bought it. DSMs work about 4/7 days a week. theres always a problem going wrong. my buddies worked maybe a few days a week and could never get it going 100% for a week.

I daily drove mine for almost 2 years...it depends who owned the car prior to you. You got to fix whatever issues are wrong with the car. Granny driving it isn't going to save it if the problem still exists.

well when i bought the car it was a 97 gs-t eclipse.. 63000 miles REASON i bought it..and she said they took good care of it.but when i called her and was like the car broke down 3 times now..she was like well the kids were so excited when we bought it they drove it everyday for a long time..so i am guessing they beat the SH** out of this car...
