Driving up to GLD to race in the cool night air is something I don't want to do, and I want to get back to the track soon enough, which doesn't look like it's going to happen.

I really like the atmosphere of 66. It feels badass racing under the lights there, but in all honesty after running at Byron, the track prep at 66 feels like shit.. I'll most likely only be going to 66 to watch this year.

god byron blows...busted ass junk track. Same with 41. Track prep is hit or miss at both places too.

GLD is my fave. Staging guys are good about giving you extra water in the box, aren't retarded about staging, the prep has always been top notch, cooler air, shorter lines. Win.

seemed like when I was at byron, my car was running for 15 minutes before I made a pass...

GLD it wasnt hot as shit, and I have always ran better there.

maybe its that my car doesnt need the track prep that some of your racecars need... but I have always launched pretty decently at GLD... but like I said, the simple fact that my car isnt running in line to run for 10-15 minutes behind the light, has seemed to be enough to make a difference in my times...

Im not saying GLD is complete shit. I am saying that they have had some bad track prep just like everywhere else it seems. Example. My old GT wasnt running anywhere it should have been at GLD and I have ran decent with the Regal.

i liked 66 the best. i had no problems with tech, and it was close and always was prepped well.

they are done after this year. it was crappy turnout last year and they cut it down now and they are getting rid of 66 for a parking lot for the nascar crap cause the new owners are nascar lovers.
