Does the check engine light go on, when you get in the car and put the key in the ON position? If it doesn't the bulb maybe burnout but you still have the CEL?

If you disconnected the battery or did anything else to reset the ECU? If yes you need to drive for about 40-100 miles before it's in the ready state to get tested. What did they tell you at emissions?

alot of the drive cycle tests require steady cruise/coasting conditions at speeds over 45mph before they will run or complete

Thats the thing i was trying to remember. I knew you can't just drive it willy nilly. Thanks james :bigthumb: Also remember something about shutting the car off then on then drive at least 3 times.
