Dude. Get the damn car to roll under its own power, THEN look for a cage. Don't waste money on caging that chassis until you're done and satisfied.

Also, count on spending probably between 125-150 PER POINT on a welded in cage.

Go get a Lincoln or a Miller MIG 110v. That should handle most of what you want to fab. Should cost about $600-900 depending on the model and options you get. Invest in a good mask and a set of gloves then get a bunch of different gauge scrap and start learning!

But I'm guessing you have better places to spend that $ right now rather than getting a welder. I haven't even bought one yet and I've recently been through 4lbs of wire borrowing a neighbors welder... LOL
