Trailblazers have power steering problems?

Whenever i drive around i notice cars that have noisy power steering pumps. Repeat offenders usually are Town and Country minivans, but lately i have seemed to notice a fair amount of trailblazers with dying power steering pumps. Was there a TSB about these or anything?

Wierd. I see plenty of trailblazers, but not too many with P/S problems.

I've only seen a handful with the whining power steering pump but enough to notice it. Town and Country's have whining steering pumps all the time it seems.

never had a problem with a pump.... but ive replaced 3 steering racks at my work

The serpentine belts squeal like a motherfucker. About every 5-6 weeks I have to take off my serpentine belt and clean it or it starts to slip and squeak.

Maybe that's it. I was just thinking the other day these trucks were pretty new to be making a whole lot of squealing.

the pulley is most likely out of alignment... they usually arent perfect from the factory. you can figure it out by using the shank of a smooth round screwdriver to push or pull on the belt near the PS pump while the engine is running. if the noise goes away in one of the directions you just need to move the pulley on the shaft which you would need a tool for.

I've seen/heard quite a few. They sound like the typical 3800 power steering/supercharger wannabe whine
