urgent help please. with case learn

trying to do case learn in my car with hp tuners and it is not letting me.

i click begin case learn, rev it up, the tuner says gradually rev till fuel cutoff, and it bounces off the rev limiter and does nothing.

I have been trying for 20 minutes now and don't know what to do.


any help is greatly appreciated.

hopefully it is just something dumb and i am being retarded.

Is the coolant up to operating temp? I believe it has to be above 160 at least.

yeah hptuners wont let you do it til it is...

i think i need to push the brake down at a different time... mainly... push it down. haha

might the tune you have on the car have a "unreachable" fuel cutoff??

do you have any ses lights on? On PT i think I had to rev it quick over 4000 rpm, just stab the gas quick

yeah

basically i needed to know this:

CASE Learn: To use the CASE learn function please follow these steps:
Put the vehicle into park (auto) or neutral (manual).
Turn off all accessories and A/C.
Apply the parking brake.
Press the brake pedal. Keep the brake pedal depressed during the entire procedure.
Press Begin.
Gradually rev the vehicle to fuel cutoff (around 4000-5000 RPM's) over a period of about 4 seconds. When fuel cuts out, immediately release the throttle.
Allow the engine to come back to an idle.
Turn the ignition off for at least 15 seconds. This step is required for the VCM to store the newly learned configuration.

Wow the HP Tuners for my HP took about 5 seconds. Just put the car in park and floor it. Done.

when your car gets a new/different pcm... or apparently flashed stock by the dealer..

i had to get my car flashed stock by the dealer, so hp tuners would license it... annnnnd when that happened, it kept throwing the case learn code... so i did it.
