Looks like he grabbed first instead of third and the thing nosed over and he yanked the wheel or something.

One more reason to have a slushbox at the track.
I still don't get how missing a gear can make that happen. Maybe it's because I'm not an experience manual driver.

when you engine brake, it can sometimes lock up the rear wheels. Or maybe the bullet just had way too much power?

It's like slamming on the brakes without abs. Go for a ride in a car with a stick, and have the guy downshift from 3rd to 1st at 20mph without rev matching the car, you will fly into the dash.

yea, (im prolly gonna get shit for this) drifters use this technique called shift lock IIRC, the rev 3rd gear really high, 7-8k, then downshift to 2nd, this quickly locks the back tires allowing them to slide around the corner. im assuming similar thing with this guy, he probably shit bricks when his tires locked up and panicked. have fun explaining that to the insurance company, video evidence plastered on the internet

i dont know if it is the camera angle or what but it looks like the rear tires get loose at 0:23 and the driver just doesnt let up.
