Tensioner Noise

Installed a smaller pulley,and now my tensioner is making noise...the braket it selft seems to be making noise when idling and driving..the bolt is tightened good,but still makes noise..any help

gonna move this to the repair shop just to keep things in order...but to answer your question...did u replace the belt? perhaps its getting worn out and making noise

yup belt was replaced..i do have belt slippage,and i ordered a bigger tensinor so it can take some slack off the smaller pulley

maybe the tensioner itself is on its way out tho that seems unlikely since u have basically a new car...can u describe teh sound?

the tensioner pulley it self is tight,but the bracket that is holding the pulley is wiggling..i can wiggle it with my hand when the car is off..cant really explain it other than it feels loose,and makes noise when driving...its cast iron with a 40 torx screw in it,but the screw is tight..maybe the bearing or hub is broken?

replace the tensioner and call it a day. Smaller pulleys tend to make tensionsers stressed out. UPGRADE!!!

thats wat i ended up doin..i ordered it from intense so hopefully the annoying sound will go away,and no more belt slippage
