Idle RPM

my rpm is getting to be pretty weird for some reason... even after about a hour of driving or right when i start the idle RPM is at like 1100 RPM not sure whats wrong with it or what

any ideas?

well when u first start a cold engine is gonna idle high.....as for being high all the time...could be a vac leak somewhere or even the butterfly on the tb could be sticking every so slightly open. check the vac lines for cracks. that would be my first thing

most cars even if you start them when they are warm will still idle high - its just a preset parameter in the ecu. also the weather is changing big time and the ecu is prolly just re learning all its parameters all over again

i just had this happen to me. i replaced my coolent temp sensor and the problem went away.

to make sure check the coolent temp in the PCM when you first start the car and after driving it for 30 mins

Important note: if coolant temp doesn't seem right, check that it's full before replacing sensor.
