Who makes a decent HID kit?

I’m missing my HID headlights on the BMW and the Prius has halogen bulbs in projector housings. You can buy OEM LED headlights for these cars but they’re an arm and a leg.

I don’t know where to start with shopping an HID kit. Everything seems like Chinese garbage for $30-90. Definitely willing to spend more than that.

I just ordered LED bulbs from Diode Dynamics and Superbright LEDs, wonder if they offer anything.

Blackbird lighting did the Camaro headlights.... cant wait for the install... it will be warmer this weekend, may get it done

I have a retrofit kit that I was going to do on the mustang and I ended up FUBARING my stock housings. Rather than trying it on another set and wasting a bunch of money I am moving on. I would be willing to let my kit go at a nice discount if wanted.

I did the full LED swap, morimoto from TRS, and was impressed with the quality

The bigger issue is the housing...pretty sure you don't want to run HID's in a stock projector housing

People hate prius' enough without being blinded by them

I’ve put morimoto kits in at least 2 dozen cars and the only one I had a problem with was my own car because I put the relays for the harness in a spot where it got wet and froze. Retrofitsource was hands down better to deal with for customer service than DDM or anyone else.

I live in the city so headlights aren’t that important but god damn are the lights pathetic on these things. If I took a ride out to the country I’d be driving blind with the stock halogens. The pattern does seem orettt good from the few Prius posts I could dig up on various forums.
