How about Infiniti QX30.

They're nice cars and reasonably priced, especially slightly used ones.

That’s like half the size of an Escape and horrible visibility for older folk with limited neck mobility (age assumption). Check out VW Tiguan. 6 year/72.000 mile warranty on powertain and bumper. Huge on inside, comfy, low step-in height. Great SUV. Also can’t go wrong with CR-V or RAV4 but can likely get a better deal on a VW.

Tanks for the comments guys . They got $13K check for the escape, would like to close the deal for $30K OTD . They don't really need anything bigger , they are older couple closing on 60 . They are fine , not much of a damage to their old escape, I was shocked that insurance totaled it

Depends on years and mileage on that old escape. I am not surprised that was totaled out.

New Escape is updated compared to what they had, pretty much bulletproof now, just keep up on the fluid changes.

People really like the new Mazda CX-5 around here, they're everywhere. My wife didn't care for it when we had one for a bit as a loaner while her 6 was waiting on parts.

I test drove a 19 Cx-5 and I wasn’t impressed for the money
