All boring cars. Practical people buy practical cars and keep them a long time.

I would hate having to spend 15 years with any of those cars!

Especially in 2003 (15 years ago), when the Japs had a stellar reputation for quality, while other brands were regarded as unreliable junk. Practical people that don't give a shit about what car gets them from point A to point B...flocked to these cars.

I could live with a Tacoma or 4Runner. The rest....eh.

Toyota swept the top of the pickup segment with the Tundra and Tacoma, while the Nissan Frontier – which hasn’t been fully-redesigned in over 15 years – spent more time in its original owners’ driveways than the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra.

On the sports car side, it was the tiny Mazda MX-5 Miata with the biggest number of long-time owners, then the Audi TT, Chevrolet Camaro, BMW M5 and Ford Mustang.

It’s the only stuff that hasn’t rusted apart. I don’t know if it’s me but I feel like I NEVER see any rotted out Japanese cars besides early 90s civics and accords.
I think the 90’s made them realize they needed to do things differently and they’ve been solid since. USA made things seem to be going the other way and getting worse.
