I really dont wanna splice in resistors that will just fail a year later.

I read somewhere that someone, of course, on the internet, so it must be true.... was able to get their BCM flashed from the chevy dealer. Apparently some Colorado/Canyons go to the dealer, get the bed removed, and have a Worktruck Box thingy installed that have LEDS in them. The tech is to go into the BCM and turn off the "Lamp out" feature.. so the turn signals will flash at a normal rate forever.

Again, just what some schmuck said online. I no longer work at a dealer so I cannot look into this further.

Honestly I’ve never heard of that but it certainly could be true. I’ll have to look into it

Just took a peek at service information and didn’t find anything.... possibly an option in the setup while programming though

There is most likely a freeware type thing out there for GM, kinda like forscan, I have never looked, but I have reprogrammed all my Fords with forscan

my good buddy is the service and parts director of a big chevy dealer.. so i may just bring it down his way... problem is I work 6 days a week

The tech he wants me to see only works M-F.
