The RS got nailed today by a rock sent sky high off a truck. The chip is through the clear and base, into the primer, and possibly into the bare metal underneath.
Short of cleaning it myself and doing touch up which is likely to protect the metal, are there any places locally that do touch up repair that also minimizes the visiblility of the repair itself?
This is on the roof of the car. The rock also took a gouge out of the wing, and bounced down into the painted surface below the wing. But that section is just a clear coat scuff that might buff out, if not wet sand out.
Here's the actual chip itself.
Chip is about 3mm long.
